Terms & conditions
Last updated 5 November 2026
Before you take a single payment:
- Replace every
[SQUARE BRACKET]with your real details. - Decide clause 9 (who pays return postage) and clause 6 (delivery cut-off).
- Confirm clause 14 names the right country — England & Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, depending on where you trade from.
This is a careful starting point written around UK consumer law, not legal advice. Once real money is moving, have a solicitor read it.
1. Who we are
Boifren is a trading name of [YOUR FULL NAME], a sole trader registered in the United Kingdom, trading from [YOUR TRADING ADDRESS]. You can reach us at [email protected]. Where these terms say “we”, “us” or “our”, they mean Boifren.
2. These terms
These terms apply when you buy from boifren.com as a consumer. They don’t reduce your legal rights — in particular under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Where anything here conflicts with those rights, your legal rights win.
You need to be at least 18 to order.
3. How your order is made
Choosing an option and completing payment is an offer to buy. We accept it when we email you an order confirmation, and that email is the point at which a contract exists between us. If we can’t accept — most likely because the edition has sold out — we’ll tell you and refund you in full.
Your order confirmation carries a reference number. Quote it whenever you contact us about the order.
4. What you’re buying
Each order includes a digital card carrying the message you write, sent to the recipient on 14 February, and whichever of these you chose:
- The arrangement — a preserved floral arrangement.
- The box — a gift box whose contents we select.
- Both — the box and the arrangement, in one delivery.
We choose what goes in the box ourselves, guided by what you tell us about the recipient. We can’t promise any particular item will be included. Because these are natural and handmade goods, colours and exact contents vary a little between boxes, and preserved flowers differ slightly from one arrangement to the next. Photographs on the site are representative rather than a guarantee of the individual item you receive.
If something you ask for genuinely can’t work, we’ll email you rather than guess.
5. Prices and payment
The price shown at checkout is the total you pay. UK tracked delivery is included. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged.
Payment is taken at checkout by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card details. If a price is obviously wrong and we spot it before accepting your order, we’ll contact you and you can confirm at the right price or cancel for a full refund.
6. Delivery
We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only, on a tracked service. Tracking is sent to you rather than to the recipient, so the surprise holds.
At checkout you choose where the parcel goes: to the recipient, or to you so that you can give it to her yourself. The address you enter on the payment page is the one we post to, and it is the choice you made that determines whose address we ask for.
| Physical goods arrive by | 13 February 2027 |
|---|---|
| The digital card is sent | the morning of 14 February 2027 |
| Order cut-off | [CONFIRM: e.g. 6 February 2027], or earlier if the edition sells out |
| Statutory backstop | within 30 days of the contract, unless we agree otherwise with you |
Goods become your responsibility once they’re delivered to the address you gave us. Please check that address carefully — we can’t recover a parcel sent to an address entered incorrectly.
If delivery is delayed by something outside our control, we’ll tell you as soon as we know and do what we reasonably can to limit the delay. If the delay is substantial, you can cancel and we’ll refund anything paid for goods not received.
7. The card, and anything personalised
The card is produced from the message you type, word for word. Please check it before paying — once we’ve made it to your wording, it can’t be resold, which is why personalised items sit outside the 14-day cancellation right. See cancellation and returns.
You can add a photograph to the card. It’s optional, and the order works without one. By adding it you confirm you have the right to share it with us, and that you are happy for us to show it to the person you’re sending to.
We won’t produce a card containing anything unlawful, abusive, threatening or harassing, and that applies to the photograph as much as the message. Every photograph is looked at before the card goes out. If something crosses that line we’ll contact you, and if it can’t be resolved we’ll cancel and refund the order in full.
8. Limited edition
We make a fixed number of boxes each year and the number stated on the site is the number we actually make. We don’t restock within an edition. When the counter reaches zero, ordering closes.
9. Changing your mind
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind about physical goods, for any reason. The full detail — what’s covered, what isn’t, and how to do it — is on the cancellation and returns page.
10. If something’s wrong with it
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, what we send you must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it isn’t:
- within 30 days of delivery you can reject it and get a full refund;
- after 30 days you can ask us to repair or replace it, and if that doesn’t put things right, get a refund or a price reduction.
Email [email protected] with your reference and a photograph if you can. We pay return postage on anything faulty.
11. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
We don’t exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — that includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for breach of your statutory rights as a consumer.
We aren’t liable for loss or damage that wasn’t foreseeable, or for business losses. We supply for domestic and private use, so we have no liability for loss of profit, loss of business or loss of business opportunity.
12. Information about the recipient
To fulfil your order you give us the recipient’s first name, her email address, optionally a photograph, and what you tell us about her. We use it only to put the order together and deliver it, and we never add her to a marketing list. How we handle it is set out in the privacy notice. By ordering you confirm her email address is correct and that you’re content for us to send her the card you wrote.
13. Complaints
Email [email protected] and we’ll acknowledge within two working days and aim to resolve things within 14 days. If we can’t agree, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution scheme, and nothing here affects your right to go to court.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [England and Wales / Scotland / Northern Ireland], and you can bring legal proceedings in those courts. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings where you live.
15. Other things
We may update these terms; the version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. If we don’t insist on something straight away, that doesn’t stop us doing so later. If any clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. This contract is between you and us, and nobody else can enforce it.
